The journey begins . . .

Growing up, I hated reading. It bored me and even though I was a good student, I detested taking the time to actually read books. In grade seven, I was fortunate enough to have a teacher that loved science fiction. She assigned us Anne McCaffrey’s Harper Hall Trilogy. I’d never read stuff books like that before and locked myself in my room all weekend to finish the books. Also in seventh grade, a friend invited my to play Dungeons and Dragons, which gave me a love for all things Fantasy. Years of school and a PhD in Immunology later, I still love sci-fi and fantasy novels. And now I want to write them! In this blog, I will share my thoughts and experiences with books I’ve read, things I’m learning, and how I do on my journey to become a professional science fiction and fantasy writer.
